Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree stated in a post on social media platform X that the armed group carried out a military operation using ballistic missiles and drones against an Aramco oil facility in the Saudi capital of Riyadh. Saree claimed that the strikes were precise and direct, resulting in fires breaking out at the site. Following the announcement on Saturday, local residents observed large plumes of smoke and flames rising near an Aramco facility situated on the outskirts of Riyadh.

The latest claimed attack directly targets key Saudi energy infrastructure as armed clashes between the opposing forces continue across Yemen.

In response to Houthi claims regarding the targeting of Aramco installations in Riyadh, Turki al-Maliki, spokesman for the Saudi-led coalition supporting Yemen's internationally recognised government, firmly rejected the assertion as misleading during remarks carried late on Saturday by Saudi media outlet Asharq Al-Awsat. Al-Maliki stated that the armed group is attempting to divert attention from the scale of its significant battlefield losses and the growing public anger directed against them inside Yemen.

The spokesman added that the strikes specifically targeted at least 260 Houthi fighters and destroyed or disabled 44 military vehicles across active combat sectors.

The group also claimed an attack late last month against Aramco facilities in the western Red Sea port of Yanbu, during which Saudi Arabia intercepted six ballistic missiles fired toward Taif and Yanbu without reporting damage to oil sites. Earlier this week, the coalition stated that the Houthis targeted a power station in Medina.
