While the party maintains that it conducts checks on everyone seeking to stand for election, Farage defended the system during an interview with BBC Look East on Thursday before the latest footage aired. He asserted that Reform vets candidates to a much higher standard than rival parties, while maintaining that political organisations cannot vet for future comments made by individuals.
